Pressure-sensitive adhesives are a type of adhesives that tend to form bonds or links under applied pressure. These type of adhesives does not need heat or water in order to get bonded. These adhesives are either removable or permanent and are compatible with several types of substrates. The primary raw materials used for the production of pressure-sensitive adhesives include acrylics, polyesters, polyamides (Pas), rubbers, polyolefins, ethylene vinyl acetates (EVAs), and silicones. Pressure-sensitive adhesives dominated the overall market for adhesives during 2015.
